Jacksonville Beach, FL

Last week, we took a little trip to the Jacksonville Beach, FL to have one last hurrah before Isla starts school (next week!!). We had the best time and spent at least 80% of the time we weren't sleeping at the beach. That good for the soul vitamin sea. 

Gardenspiration

For Mother's Day, Zach gifted me a bunch of baby vegetable plants. I had never grown a vegetable garden before, but he knew I wanted to. I did just enough research to have an idea of how and where to plant them. After weeks of weeding and watering (and watering some more), the garden exploded into a green leafy jungle. Cucumber and watermelon vines were taking over tomato plants and yellow squash was intertwining with zucchini. Tomato plants were towering over bell peppers and the rose bush that was once in the center of it all could no longer be seen. I made a million and a half mistakes and learned so much.

I'm already thinking about next year's garden.

Family Photos

Last weekend, we had our first photos taken as a family of FIVE. I never thought I would be a mother of three, but here we are. Boho Baer Photography took our photos and we couldn't be more in love with them. It was as hot as Georgia evenings can be in the middle July and by the end of our session, we were all red in the face and dripping with sweat. We had fun exploring a new park (that I can't wait to return to). The kids got to wade in a stream, explore a waterfall and find frogs, so they had the best time.
